Everything valuable needs protection. Our cherished Constitution is no exception. The journey to do so begins in the ballot box.
Voting is a sacred right. Since the Revolutionary War, Americans have fought to protect the rights of eligible voters and expand access for those who’ve been left out of our democratic process. And, only recently was every American awarded the right to vote unconditionally.
Tragically, many American voters have become complacent and apathetic and have not taken advantage of the power that they possess at the ballot box.
Because our collective voice at the ballot box is so crucial, the Jewish Voters League of America works doggedly to register voters and provides them with election information through voter guides and emails as well as candidate forums and debates. The cornerstone of the JVLA is to have informed and active participation in government. We work alongside politicians to increase understanding of major public policy issues in local communities, thus giving voters the education necessary to vote properly and correctly in upcoming elections on the federal, state and local ballots. Every year we host many community events to mobilize and help voters participate in elections as well as hear from elected officials and candidates who wish to speak directly to them.
All Americans have an equal say in America, but only if they vote. The JVLA engages tens of thousands of voters every year ensuring that they have the information and tools necessary to participate in the elections that determine our future. And, that’s why registering to vote with us is so important: Because it ensures that America is and always will be a safe country, free of racism, antisemitism, and all forms of bigotry.
